We’re getting ready to offer Neurodevelopmental Screening Assessments to help families identify the best next steps for their child. These screenings don’t diagnose but guide you towards the right services if you are considering an assessment for ADHD or ASD for your child.

ASSESSMENT MEASURES

  • The Movement Assessment Battery for Children (MABC)

    is a standardized test that helps identify motor skill impairments in children. It's used to assess children with suspected developmental coordination disorder (DCD) or other movement difficulties.

  • The Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration (BEERY VMI)

    is a non-verbal assessment helping to identify deficits in visual perception, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.

  • The Test of Visual Perception Skills (TVPS)

    is a standardized assessment of visual perception skills in children and young adults. The TVPS-4 is the fourth edition of the test.

  • The Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting (DASH)

    is a test that measures a person's handwriting speed and legibility. It's used to identify children with handwriting difficulties and to plan interventions. 

  • The Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOT-2)

    is a standardized test that measures a child's fine and gross motor skills. It's used by occupational and physical therapists to assess a child's motor performance. 

  • Ayres Clinical Observations

    are a part of the Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) assessment process. They are a series of structured neurological observations that help identify sensory integrative dysfunction in children with learning disabilities.

  • The Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration© (EASI)

    is a set of tests which measure the core constructs of Ayres Sensory Integration (i.e., sensory perception; ocular, postural, & bilateral integration; praxis; and sensory reactivity.)

  • ICT Assessments

    evaluates a person's Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) needs. ICT assessments can be used to identify assistive technology needs, make recommendations for technology solutions, and provide training on how to use the technology.

Newborn Behavioural
Observations (NBO)

The NBO is a tool to help parents and practitioners understand a baby’s unique behaviour from birth to 3 months. It observes 18 different behaviours, such as how they sleep, react to stress, and respond to social interactions. This helps identify the baby’s strengths and areas where they may need extra support. Parents often feel more connected to their baby and build stronger trust with their practitioner after using this tool.

Peabody Developmental
Motor Scales (PDMS-2)

The PDMS-2 is for children from birth to 5 years old and assesses both fine and gross motor skills, such as grasping objects and moving around. It also looks at how well children integrate their vision with motor skills.

Miller Function and
Participation Scales (M-Fun)

The M-Fun tool is used for children aged 2 to 8 years to evaluate their motor skills and participation in everyday activities at home and school. It focuses on fine motor, gross motor, and visual-motor skills to see how well the child performs in daily life.
