STRIVE

STRIVE is Future Steps Educational Provision Service. We help remove barriers to education, by focussing on improving key areas of students learning and development, and empowering educators in the shared goal of academic attainment and happiness from achieving our full potential.

This may include successfully supporting young people in the important areas of behaviour, learning and cognition, Social, Emotional and Mental Health and independence in activities of daily living. Or to specifically support related conditions, such as Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing challenges, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and physical disabilities.

  • Virtual or in person visits from a fully qualified Occupational Therapist. Scheduled weekly, or as required, throughout 38 weeks of the academic year, our therapists are able to provide screening assessments, classroom observations, individual and group programmes, support integrating interventions, educator upskilling and progress reviews.

  • We support students, educators and parent/carers from early years settings through to sixth form settings across mainstream, special schools, nurture and EMS bases and Pupil Referral Units.

    We are available to support individual and independent provisions, education trusts, communities of learning, children in care and local authority initiatives.

  • Students who access STRIVE are seen to improve in educational engagement, motivation, and performance, behaviour, regulation, attendance, social and emotional skills, anxiety and wellbeing and sensory processing challenges.

    Educators benefit from improved confidence to identify and support occupational performance, occupational therapy based strategies, reduced pressure, ability to attend to priority children with reduced waiting times.

SMART
PROGRAMME
